SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed regarding the superior quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service point created for intervention experiences a superior inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to help the servicing of all buyers and increase access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
